There is something truly special about summer evenings in Westport, Connecticut, especially when the community comes together to celebrate the 4th of July. This year, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a family BBQ that beautifully captured the heart of the holiday. There was laughter, connection, and a sky filled with one of the most spectacular fireworks displays I have ever seen.
As soon as I arrived, I could feel the energy. Kids were running around with sparklers, parents were gathered by the grill, and the smell of fresh burgers and sweet corn filled the air. Families sat together on picnic blankets, friends shared stories over lemonade, and everyone seemed to know this was going to be one of those unforgettable summer nights.
